Only those holding EU passports are eligible for this position. The working language is English, so English speaking is essential. German language is helpful but not a requirement for the job.

Task Description
Support of the departmental configuration manager in
* Preparation of detailed work instructions for configuration tasks based on information gathered from project engineers for standard development activities
* Analysis and solution of tool problems reported by the project engineers
* Training of project engineers
* Frequently configuration monitoring, creation of configuration status accountings and configuration records
* Generation of a software configuration index
* Generation of a software scheme
* Generation of documents in PDF(-A 1b) format
* Preparation of project deliveries ie CDs
Perform Configuration Status Accounting an Monitoring
* Support for the configuration manager and SW focal points
* Definition and implementation of improved KPIs and monitoring tools for status accounting (ie PR Database)
* Preparation of presentation (Excel, PowerPoint)
Programming of simple ODBC scripts or MS Excel Makros to automate standard processes like traceability checks, consistency checks etc. within the Dimensions database

The ideal candidate will be available to start either ASAP or in January 2012. The contract will run initially for 6 months, with a view for very long term prospects (1 - 2 years +).
