Deadline for application cob 29th Sept 12 noon CET – please send cv in English, confirming start date availability.An opportunity has arisen for a contract position in a rapidly growing consulting company specialising in the investment banking industry.
The client is looking for a candidate who can assist with the daily production support duties relating to their in house risk management systems. The candidate should be flexible and have the ability to support the existing team reporting accurately the status of the work and any issues/problems to management. When required the candidate is also expected to take on various ad hoc projects.
Essential Skills:
- Good IT skills
- Previous production support experience
- Strong UNIX, Shell Scripting (KSH, Bash), Crontab, Perl.
- Oracle 10 exposure with strong SQL and PL-SQL Knowledge
- Knowledge of job control systems in particular BMC Control-M
- Knowledge knowledge of the JBoss application Servers and in particular in the installation/configuration of application servers
- Ideally some knowledge of Apache HTTP servers
- Ideally know a little bit about the underlying business processes eg understanding of trades, securities, risk factors etc
- Good German skills
The assignment will be in NRW Germany.
