My prestigious telecom client is looking for a unique individual to join the team as an innovation lead, to work as a master researcher leading the technical team in research and new cutting edge technologies the Next Generation Packet Domain and Future Mobile Communication beyond 3G.
Responsibilities
Requirements
- Master Degree or higher in computer science, electrical engineering, telecommunications, informatics or equivalent with more than 12 years experience in Mobile Network Domain with at least more than 8 years experience in research or system architecture design of 3GPP networks (PS Domain) in or with one of the leading telecom vendors or operators. (Experience with an international telecom company will be considered as advantage, especially work experience in or with their research departments)
- Thorough understanding of more than one of the following: 3GPP networks (PS Domain), NGMN, SAE, future architectures for mobile communication (Beyond 3G), Policy based Networking, P2P, Meshed networks, Self-organizing systems, network interworking and cooperation, resource management, Internet technology and protocol design, such as IP, MIP(and variants), TCP/UDP, familiar with the latest trends in IP mobility, congestion control, signalling, inter-layer communication, and traffic engineering
- More than 8 years experience in research work. should have operated as a technical leader or main participant, in at least one middle scale research project. Experience in European Research Programs FP6/FP7 or national funded projects is welcome
- Extensive experience in research or software and product engineering, project execution and research methodologies for Applied Research, IPR creation, process from idea to product development, project management and contract issues of research projects, cooperation with universities and research institutes, interfacing national and international research bodies
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Worldwide short-term travels are required
- Excellent intercultural communication and coordination skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and team-work spirit and independent working capability
- Experience with Asian business culture is nice to have
- Hands-on and can-do attitude
