Our client is currently looking for a Unix System Administrator (m/w) for a project in Hamburg.Task Description
1. Incident management:
- Resolve incident
- Document resolution in Magic
- Contact HW vendors support teams
- Support technician during repair actions (organize appointment, escort in DC)
2. Problem management
- Identify repetitive failures from Incident management
- Document problems
- Investigate/Identify root cause
- Investigate remediation to root cause
3. Change management
- Perform changes technical qualification
- Implement changes
4. Administrative tasks
- Unix team operations meetings
- Training of new resources may happen
- Availability calendar, time sheet
5. All these tasks will be done in a close collaboration with other technology towers in Germany and abroad.
6. here may be requests to work Out Of Office hours or over the WE for Week End Maintenance.
Skills:
•Solid Solaris 9 & 10 knowledge including cluster environment
•Good AIX knowledge
•nice to have HPUX
•at least 3 years experience of UNIX Administration/Operation
•good understanding of Storage Area Networking (SAN)
•good understanding of networking
•comfortable to work in an english environment (international)
•ITIL certification (or knowledge)
•experienced in call handling, documenting and reporting
•analytical thinking
•experienced in handling and working within critical situations
•teamplayer
