We are working with a globally recoginised leader in the Transportation sector, you will joining as part of their software engineering team and will be responsible for applying engineering principles, procedures and techniques to perform systems engineering assignments related to the development of large, complex software systems. The successful applicant will develop and maintain systems software for solutions in transportation & ticketing.This is a freelance contract on a full time (40 hours per week) basis, ideally you should be available to start before the end of the year but applicants with the right experience and available in January will also be considered. The role will initially be 100% remote, but when it is safe to do so the customer would like you present in their Hamburg office.
Experience required-
You have at least 5 years of professional experience developing software using Java.
Extensive commercial Java (JEE) and/or Spring (Boot) experience.
Experience in IntelliJ or Eclipse, modern version control systems like Git, build management systems like Maven or Gradle, continuous integration tools like Jenkins and Jira
Fluent German language skills.
Desirable
Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes.
Experience in PostgreSQL (table design, queries, query optimization) or comparable databases.
Experience in JavaScript, CSS and HTML.
Experience in Enterprise Architect.
