Essential skills:
- A minimum of five years of IT project management experience successfully delivering a range of small to medium sized IT projects to the satisfaction of the client;
- Additional experience in systems development or other IT related areas of over five years;
- Good knowledge of a recognised IT project management methodology such as PRINCE2;
- Working experience with agile project methodologies like SCRUM
- Knowledge and understanding of DevSecOps practices
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructures
- Good knowledge of a recognised IT procedure library such ITIL.
- Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
- Good verbal and written communication skills in the English language.
- Must be project-oriented, customer-focussed and responsive, with a highly professional manner.
Desirable skills:
- Prince2 certification
- A background in client-facing IT consulting would be highly regarded.
- Experience of project management in international environments.
- Experience of project management in diverse, multicultural organisations.
- Experience of project management of globally-sourced resources.
- Experience project managing data analytics, O365, Drupal, CRM, BPM, J2EE, and/or .NET projects.
Responsibilities:
- Planning, delivery and maintenance of small to medium sized IT projects to an agreed schedule and budget, adhering to a recognised project management methodology.
- Management of day-to-day progress and operational aspects of small to medium sized IT projects.
- Identification of resources needed and assignment of individual responsibilities.
- Negotiation of scope / required resources / timing decisions with business and IT stakeholders.
- Revision of plans as appropriate to meet changing requirements and circumstances.
- Review and approval of project deliverables to ensure quality.
- Effective application of a recognised software development methodology and enforcement of project standards.
- Effective application of change management and release management.
- Co-ordination of multiple vendors, staff and contractors.
- Monitoring and reporting of project status.
- Management of project issues and risks, escalating when appropriate.
- Preparation for project reviews and quality assurance procedures.
- Ensuring project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
