Job Description Summary

Function as Team Leader. Will be viewed as specialist in given field by the company and will possess a high degree of troubleshooting in addition to exceptional interpersonal skills. Performs activities associated with installing, diagnosing, maintaining and servicing computer-related products, including but not limited to desktop & laptop computers, printers, network devices, standard software, mobile devices and low-end servers at customer sites, and/or depot locations. May be directed by Help Desk, Service Desk or scripts using standard methods, techniques and tools. May also apply personal knowledge to resolve product support issues that could not be addressed by service desk. Assignments range in complexity from troubleshooting and repair, to more difficult device repair, including reloading and re-imaging of PC’s/laptops, and installing and optimizing HW/SW networking products.


Key Responsibilities

• Supports a client company’s VIP user base by applying exceptional technical and interpersonal skills

• May function as team or site leader providing direction to other technicians

• Provides support for enterprise storage products • Supports Networking products - including Cisco certification requirements

• Provides support for Payment systems products and Unisys core-CMOS products

• Provides support for software, hardware and networking support for desktops, laptops and servers

• Provides support for end user mobile and Tablet devices

• Provides maintenance and support on legacy products

• May have project management responsibilities for some projects

• Supports Core, server products

• Performs disk replacement on EMC Symm products

• Installs and maintains Hardware and associated software, networks, servers and peripherals

• Supports network products from operational and maintenance perspectives

• Performs installs, moves, adds and changes as required

• Tests and certifies PCs, networks, servers and client approved applications

• Provides follow-up on problems or escalation

• Maintains a high degree of professionalism in actions, demeanor and dress

• Ensures customer satisfaction throughout the service delivery transaction

• Solution Engineering designated for the ECB VIP Members

• IT Advisor and support of ECB Executive Board Members and SSM Supervisory-

• Board Members (Single Supervisory Mechanism)

• Research, identify and recommend valuable IT solutions for business requirements

• Combine standard job duties to design new and improve upon existing technology solutions and policies to ensure proper infrastructure and systems are in place to support critical business functionality

• Perform system management duties on servers and workstations, manage enterprise directory services, install and manage network equipment for various and diverse individual networks

• Manage and support Windows and macOS environments

• Manage, support and optimize mobile solutions and recommend solutions to address future needs

• Explaining technical information in clear terms to non-technical individuals to promote better understanding

• Service transition and continual improvement of methods, policies and products offered to our customers

• Mobile device and server management. Coordinating bespoke policies to best suit our customers

• Server and workstation management, Installation and administration.




Key Qualifications

• Requires a High School degree and minimum of 4-6 years of hands on technical experience

• Electronics training equivalent to at least 4 years of technical institutes, polytechnic and/or military technical school with applicable field service and/or other related technical experience

• High degree of interpersonal skills

• Demonstrated capability and experience supporting VIP clients

• Ability to manage small teams of technicians via an indirect management style

• A+ certification (Preferred)

• Specific Manufacturers certifications as required. i.e. EMC, Dell, Cisco, Lenovo, Microsoft, Unisys. COMPTIA, and NETWORKPLUS (Preferred)

• Troubleshooting software and hardware problems

• Knowledgeable in servers, Microsoft/Linux/Unix applications, network protocol, internetworking, configuration, and possess advanced PC support capability

• Ability to test and certify PC, networks, servers and client /Unisys approved software applications and associated peripherals

• Knowledge of client specific internal procedures and service delivery requirements (Preferred)

• Excellent analytical and client communication skills

• Client and/or governmental security clearance required
