Beschreibung

wir suchen derzeit:
• Support Transition Analysts to deliver projects by providing database input into service design
• Provide input into the definition & implementation of database practices, tools and processes
• Supporting Application Development and Support teams in Database development to ensure best practices are implemented & maintained
• Implement database changes/releases into Test and Production estates according to Change and Release Management processes
• Ensure availability, security and performance of Oracle databases across Development, test and Production environments
• Proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime
• Provide trend analysis to Infrastructure Operations teams to enable them to make informed decisions regarding resource management.
• Responsible for troubleshooting and problem solving incidents related to Database issues 24×7

Skills & characteristics required for success in the role:

Technical Skills Required

• Oracle Database Server 9,10,11
• Oracle Application/Weblogic server 10,11 (desirable)
• Experience of High Availability systems including Oracle RAC
• Experience of Oracle RMAN, Grid Control
• Database Administration including Design, Tuning & Maintenance & Security
• Experience of Sun Solaris, MS Windows
• Strong PL/SQL scripting skills

Additional Skills Required

• 5+ years IT operation with strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices
• 5+ years Oracle DBA experience
• Able to define, agree and manage against agreed acceptance criteria for Database designs, requirements & deliverables
• Ability to identify risks/issues affecting service.
• Ability to define & implement Database Services to RWEST Application & Infrastructure community
• Self motivated and focused, with a keen attention to detail
• Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a dynamic, high-pressure environment
• Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
• Solid technical documentation skills
• Ability to present complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• German and English Language skills
