Currently we are searching for one candidate who is able to cover the following position:

Project description:
the Digital Vision Control System (DVCS) is a set of the customers global applications within the Global PharmOps Packaging Strategy department which the DVCS Support Engineer will help to support
the DVCS customer community consists of the customers key users located world-wide in the following departments: DRA (Drug Regulation Agency), AwOps (Art Work Operations) and Pharma QA/QC Departments (Quality Assurance / Quality Control)
the Digital Vision Control System (DVCS) project is a Global customers Project and will be implemented from the beginning of 2011 into the following user base: DRA, AwOps and in Pharma QA/QC departments
ANG/DVCS Phase 1 in 2011 will improve Artwork Compliance by 65% and reduce the lead time in the production of Art Work by 10%
ANG Phase 2 in 2012 will improve Artwork Compliance by 75% and reduce the lead time in the production of Art Work by 60%. This will be done by implementing the Art Work Next Generation project
ANG Phase 3 in 2013 will improve Artwork Compliance by 100% and reduce the lead time in the production of Art Work by 75%. This will be done through Automated Artwork Generation (ANG) project
Role will be based in Basel in the Packaging Technology Competency Center for DVCS

Tasks:
the DVCS Support Engineer (Typesetter) will:
be the 2nd Line Support person supporting the global DVCS application
learns and becomes competent in the operation of all the DVCS tools
will support the preparation of operational documentation for DVCS using ICE methodology
will support the execution of test scripts related to DVCS tools
will support in developing training documentation for DVCS including e-Learning
will be an administrator to provide access to DVCS tools to trained users on the Citrix systems
will work with other service providers such as DVCS Application Support Analysts, Type setters / Hardware Support Group / Network Support Group / GlS (Global Infrastructure System) and/or Suppliers to solve issues with the DVCS application
responds in a timely manner (within SLA) to open DVCS iTool ticket support queries (via Phone, email or Web) from key users of DVCS located globally
works with the correct stakeholder service provider (for example to: other DVCS business analysts / type setters / Hardware Support Group / Network Support Group / GlS (Global Infrastructure System, etc) to solve and close iTool tickets
ensures alignment with Art Work Next Generation Project (ANG) in order to develop the DVCS tools for Phase 2 and Phase 3 of the project
provides guidance, assistance, coordination, and follow up on user questions, problems, or malfunctions of all system applications, hardware and software installed or maintained by IT
provides support for all project related activities with in the DVCS rollout program
creates / modifies all DVCS Operational documentation as required
tests all DVCS tools are fit for purpose for the business community
provides support for end user training world-wide
liaises with business units by preparing and testing DVCS hardware / software and providing administration support for the DVCS Citrix systems
participates in the evaluation of new software packages and/or application changes:
conducts impact analysis with the business for affected Business/IT Processes
identifies and specifies the application requirements
implements and tests prototypes
applies installation quality assurance tests and assures consistency with standards
applies appropriate testing procedures and scripts
ables to enhance Novartis Artwork Standards in conjunction with the business
handles standard Service Requests and perform User Administration for DVCS applications
ensures that all requests addressed by application users are handled according to agreed SLAs
successfully supporting the pilots and roll-out of DVCS in quality, time and cost and according to the roll-out plan
successfully supporting the Packaging Technology Competency Center for DVCS in order to provide an excellent service for end user DVCS incident management/ change management resolution
provides service as defined in the SLA with customers (eg. Responding to customer enquiries within 24 hours)

Must-Have Skills:
ideal: Degree Holder/ Diploma Holder in Typesetting / Technical / Business Related qualification
minimum: 3-5 Year experience in a Artwork Operation servicing the Pharmaceutical Industry
ideal: knowledge of ITIL best practices and GMP environment
good knowledge of Artwork Standards and will help the Business in enhancing these standards
experienced in the creation of Artwork in the Pharmaceutical Industry (Folding boxes, leaflets, blisters, etc) using tools such as:
Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Bridge
QuarkXpress, Font Explorer XPRO, Adobe Acrobat Pro
Other Typesetting tools
use of collaborative tools
able to produce reports on KPIs from iTool using Excel
fluent in English (but other language skills desirable (German))
excellent knowledge on all DVCS and Adobe Artwork tools in order to meet Customer Expectations
meet all deliverables in quality, time and cost
provides excellent DVCS Project / Operations Collaboration
meets relevant Service Level Agreement Key Performance Indicator Targets
meets customer satisfaction requirements
producing defined statistics from predefined (KPIs) for DVCS from iTool on a regular basis for management
performs and analyzes Information survey results from customers on incident management resolution and share the results with key stakeholders

good communication skills, verbal / written
excellent telephone manner
able to learn quickly
