In this current climate it is even more important that large Telco's make use of technology to simplify the operations of their networks, reduce costs and allow services to be delivered more effectively.
Our client is one of Europe's largest mobile operators and providers of connectivity services. They are still continuing to design the next generation of mobile core/edge networks for their group subsiduaries utilizing SDN/NFV.
They are being supported by an ecosystem of large network vendors, consultancies and cloud providers who are helping to design/build/operate solutions covering vEPC, Datacenter, OSS and containerization.
They require a Network Architect to act as the internal SME for SDN/NFV, taking a lead role in the review of design proposals and delivery of infrastructure solutions, whether Proof of Concept, test environments or onlive networks.
We require an expert in mobile telecommunications networks (8 years+) with practical experience of IP Networking (VNFs), Openstack, vEPC, VMWare, Network Automation and Linux. Applicants will have worked within a Tier-1 operator directly or indirectly in an operational role and therefore capable of going into LLD within some/all of the above areas.
Communications skills and stakeholder management are vital for this position due ot the complex nature of the group reporting structures.
Due to Covid-19, the client has committed to facilitate the early part of the assignment fully remotely through video facilities (WebEx) and online mediums. It is vitally important that applicants have experience in facilitating stakeholder meetings remotely.
