SQL Project Engineer - German and English Speaker - Contract - Berlin
Square One are looking for a SQL Project Engineer to come on board for an initial 12 month contract in Berlin.
This is an initial 12 month contract, paying market rates.
The Role:
* Prepare in collaboration with the MS Application pool and the application manager(s) the migration to the new SQL platform. (Dev - QA - Prod)
* System administration of the MS SQL server environment (system DBA tasks like database creation, deletion, backup, restore, optimization, security, deployment of scripts, ...);
* Assistance to development where required (eg performance tuning on new SQL platform);
* Enforcement and monitoring of security guidelines and standards;
* Disaster recovery check and implementation;
* Ensure optimal 2nd/3rd level (interface to Microsoft and other 3rd parties) support;
* Keep operating and installation documentation up to date;
Technical requirements:
* Computer science degree, a comparable education or proven experience in the sector (>5 years);
* Proven experience of MS SQL management for at least 5 years (please provide description & references);
* In-depth knowledge of MS SQL (clustered) is a must
* In-depth knowledge of and operational experience with MS Windows Server 2012R;
* Knowledge of PowerShell is a must
Languages required:
* German (native/fluent) and English.
* Speaking and understanding French and/or Dutch is a plus
This is an initial 12 month contract, paying market rates.
