Beschreibung

For our client, a leading multinational technology company that specializes in Internet-related services and products, we are looking for an UX Researcher (f/m/d) in Munich.

Your role:

In this role, you will create understanding and empathy around user needs for meetings, before, during, and after, stated and unstated, for your entire product team including designers, product managers, and engineers. You will do so by conducting tactical and foundational research, exploring the behaviors and motivations of our users through methods like field studies, interviews, surveys, usability testing, log analysis, and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and conduct research efforts (identify target audience, schedule study sessions, contextual inquiry, support workshops/sprints, etc.), collaborating with design, product management, engineering, and other cross-functional partners.
  • Work with stakeholders, designers, product managers, engineers, and other UX researchers to prioritize research opportunities and scope in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment.
  • Analyze research data and provide tactical and strategic insights by applying a variety of qualitative and quantitative methods, and by understanding and incorporating complex user, technical, and business requirements.
  • Drive change by advocating research findings with actionable insights to diverse audiences through written reports, presentations, and hands- on collaboration.
  • Clearly communicate research agenda with cross-functional partners, understand and balance business requirements and technical constraints with user needs.

Skill/Experience/Education:

  • B.A./B.S. (completed) or MA/M.S./Ph.D. (in progress or completed) in Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Engineering, Cognitive Science, Psychology, Anthropology, Information Sciences, Human Factor Ergonomics, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during the product development process.
  • Track record of tactical and strategic (optional) research work that has directly impacted product, domain, or team direction or strategy.
  • Detail-oriented, extremely organized, and ability to work fully independent.
  • Can prioritize time between multiple projects, and adapt to changing schedules and different tasks.
  • High flexibility and willingness to (re-)act rapidly if needed.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable working with remote teams.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and comfortable with multi-tasking.

Desired:

  • Experience in quantitative research design, research methods, and statistical analysis.
