Our client is a worldwide leading provider of advanced technical systems and related services for climate monitoring and analysis. An online and face-to-face training program is supporting international clients (government agencies, NGOs and scientists in academia) in best utilising the systems and Services. We are looking for a Freelancer/Interim Manager.your mission:
- Prepare and run workshops and information resources to support the ramp up of our client’s data services
- Develop a headline user engagement plan, covering the key target audiences and the support they require to enable uptake of the data services
- Establish a training plan covering the learning objectives, training activities and learning resources, evaluation metrics, etc.
- Prepare and run 4-6 online and classroom-based courses per year that help users develop their skills in exploiting the data services
- Develop a range of self-paced learning resources, information resources, how to guides and video, documentation and guides that can be used by users or other people teaching these data services
- Support the training and use of our client`s data services in hackathons, conferences and trade fairs
- Establish continuous evaluation and improvement of the effectiveness of the training
- Provide helpdesk support to enquiries
your experiences and talents:
- Experience in training and supporting users in the scientific application of big data and large computing infrastructure
-Demonstrated ability to evaluate user needs and deliver appropriate training
- Excellent skills in delivering training, facilitating workshops and creating training resources
- Track record in the exploration and use of novel data analysis techniques and the understanding of challenges associated with working with environmental data
- Familiarity with the end-to-end chain from data sensing to user application of a product
- Knowledge of scripting with Jupyter notebooks
- Ability to relate to user groups and subject matter experts
- Experience of working in partnership across boundaries within single organisations and between different organisations
- Solid experience of a range of earth observational data processing and visualisation tools
- Knowledge of current trends and evolutions in data services including issues of governance and internet of things applications
-Fluent English, working knowledge of French would be a highly significant Advantage
