Role: Openstack Consultant (L3)Location: Remote working
Duration: 2-3 months initially
Language requirement: English only
Rate: Maximum 500 Euros
Key experience: OpenStack RedHat experience, probably about an L3 Level.
Responsibilities
• Working in a consultative and operational manner deliver solutions into our key clients environment.
• Following the client engagement and delivery processes, working closely with the Project Manager and/or the Service Manager.
• Delivery of on-site services, review and authoring of high level design documentation, migration planning, product integration.
• Manage problem identification, system architecture definition, and software specification, as well as the design, testing, and deployment of open source solutions
• Contribute to the definition and documentation of vendor standard recommended best practices.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with both the customers' technical teams and the internal Account team.
• Provide regular feedback of product and services requirements and performance to internal groups including engineering, consulting, technical support and product management.
Required Experience
• Solid background on virtualization technologies like Red Hat Virtualization, KVM, VMware vSphere, etc., and Red Hat OpenStack Platform and|or SUSE Openstack
• Software Defined Storage (Ceph and Gluster)
• 3-5 years of experience in suppotying and delivering systems into DC environments, integration into OSS/BSS/IT in Service Providers and/or Enterprise customers
• ITIL and Change Management systems (ServiceNOW etc)
• Support development of SDN/NFV architecture to support network evolution and future network automation and programmability
• Experience implementing virtualization technologies in an enterprise setting and with enterprise-wide deployments
• Experience with infrastructure automation, preferably with Red Hat Ansible Automation
• Experience with cloud management solutions and tools
• Experience of designing, implementing and troubleshooting virtualized software and solutions is essential.
• Proven capability to effectively transfer knowledge to customer technical teams, both through formal and informal training.
• Proven capability to effectively present and explain complex concepts to a non-technical audience (staff and management).
• Container experience K8 and docker
Required Technical Skills
• OpenStack (Redhat) OSP10 OSP13 (nice to have SUSE)
• 2-3 years SDN / NFV related experience including deployments (Calico, OVS (Open vSwitch), Contrail)
• 2-3 year SDS (Ceph and|or Gluster) related experience including deployment
• Service Orchestration (Ansible and Ansible Tower)
• Ubuntu/RHEL, KVM (other) Hypervisors, Containers, Docker and other Juniper Networks products including vMX, vSRX, vQFX, NFX.
• Knowledge of underlay/overlay and IP networking and routing protocols.
• Essential- Linux, Scripting (e.g. Perl, Python), Network Monitoring and OSS/BSS/IT integration.
• VMware vCenter/NSX, MPLSoGRE, VXLAN, RESTful APIs, Icinga, Junos, SLAX/Junos Automation, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Cobbler.
• Nice to have Loadbalancing F5, HA Proxy, certificate https SSL lifecycle handling.
