Ihre Aufgaben:
- Support and maintenance of middleware components such as application server, ETL-environments, databases and ensuring the high availability of these systems
- Troubleshooting regarding middleware components
- Development of operational concepts with a focus on existing technologies (storage, operating systems etc.)
- Adjustment of middleware configurations to the application requirements
- Technical 2nd level support for Unix-based, mission critical application systems
- Active participation in the permanent system optimization process
- Definition, documentation and compliance processes in IT-operations with ITIL
- Willingness to accept weekend operations and on-call duty services
- Excellent knowledge in the installation, configuration and monitoring of web and application servers (Apache, Tomcat, WebSphere)
- Very good knowledge of middleware components for data exchange (peer-to-peer file transfer, message queuing (MQ Series)) and ETL (Datastage) and job scheduling tools (UC4)
- Good knowledge of database technologies (Oracle 9i, 10g and 11g, ideally in the cluster environment and Informix)
- UNIX server administration, kernel-parametrisation, profiles, file systems and shell-scripting
- UNIX server administration, storage and backup administration on SAN and NAS based
- Good overview of the infrastructure components of large IT-system environments (network, storage, application delivery)
- Analytical thinking and ability to work out complex relationships
