Masentó are working with one of the worlds leading Energy companies whom are in the process of a large BI transformation project. We are looking for a skilled BI consultant to support with this project.
Tasks
At the same time as migrating to the new cloud-based Snowflake DWH and a completely new accompanying service and toolset, we took over the surgical tasks in November. The new operation and release processes are defined and work, but are still in the optimization phase. At the same time, there are a large number of projects and tasks that can no longer be dealt with by the current onsite team. The aim is to scale capacity and resources by building a near-or offshore team.
- Analysis of the current DWH architecture as well as the toolset with regard to the target image (= additional SCRUM teams to build near-and/or offshore). Analysis is also based on existing documentation as well as results from workshops and interviews
- Analysis and development of a Target Operating Model (TOM) to prepare near-or offshore development in the DWH environment in terms of DWH build-up and tools, as well as relevant GDPR and IT security
- Reconciliation of analysis results and suggestions from the Target Operating Model with the expert in processes and organisation
- Prioritization based on criteria of criticality, benefit and effort
- Developing a common roadmap on all topics
- Defining implementation needs and allocating the area of responsibility
- Self-reliance on the development of solution alternatives
- Preparation of the tender document for the selection of the near-and/or offshore partner including assessment criteria to be applied
Requirements
- Demonstrable BI and DWH knowledge and practical experience in the field of BI and DWH architectures with BI systems (not SAP). Scope at least 5-7 years
- Broad knowledge in the selection and implementation of appropriate cloud systems and tools in the BI context for scheduling, orchestration, release management, version, monitoring - scope at least 3-5 years
- Experience in the analysis, definition and implementation of BI processes scope at least 5-7 years
- Demonstrable knowledge and practical experience with SCRUM in the DWH environment
- Demonstrable knowledge and experience, in at least 2 sample cases with BI architectures as well as tools in collaboration with near-and offshore partners
- Very good analytical, conceptual and technical skills
- Excellent communicative as well as moderation and presentation skills
