Flint are currently looking for a Network Engineer to be based on our clients site in Ratingen Germany.
Skills Required:
- Good understanding of the IP technologies, protocols and network topology
- Good understanding of the Network operations processes & Functions
- 6-10 years. of experience in IP Core Network Operations/Engineering in data center/service provider environments
- Good understanding of IP network elements & protocols
- Good communication skills
- Languages: English must have, German/Italian not mandatory
- Familiar with Cisco Routers, Switches, DNS, AAA, Firewalls, DHCP etc.
Knowledge of relevant Third party products, including:
- Cisco 6500 series
- Cisco 3750 series
- Cisco Nexus (all models)
- Cisco ACI (nice to have)
- Cisco ASA
- Checkpoint Firewall
- Juniper Firewall
- Alteon Load Balancer
- F5 Load Balancer
Main responsibilities
- Developing HLD based on customer requirements
- Assist lab testing for new features deployment
- Act as a focal point for project implementation
- Develop and maintain NW documentation (Wiki)
- Provide assistance for analysing proposed changes and reviewing associated risk
