Data Scientist - FPGA - Germany - Automotive
As part of the European R&D team, you will focus on porting, implementing and testing complex and resources intense algorithms on top of FPGAs, which will become a fundamental component of autonomous vehicles. Join us in solving these exciting problems and mapping state-of-art applications in deep learning and computer vision on to FPGAs.
They are seeking an enthusiastic engineer with solid technical background in software development for Embedded systems. In addition, you will contribute in EU research activities and consortia, and report to the laboratory A&IL manager.
Responsibilities:
- Design, architect, implementation and test of Real Time data and control flows for FPGA SoC devices needed to process high-throughput sensor data on autonomous vehicles.
- Design and optimization of core blocks on FPGA.
- Contribute in innovative artificial intelligence (AI) development with an emphasis on Embedded systems.
- Identification and understanding customers' challenges, requirements and expectations.
- Integration and evaluation of solutions in simulation and prototype vehicles
- Collaborate deeply with other engineers and teams locally and globally
Your profile:
- Experience in higher-level programming languages, in particular C++ and/or Python.
- Experience in hardware description languages, like VHDL and/or Verilog, preferably on Xilinx and/or Altera
- Preferably a first insight in well-known deep learning frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow or Keras.
- English fluently in spoken and written form
Location: Germany
Length: Initially 10 months - strong chance of extension
Rate: €500-€600 a day
