Job Title: Sr. Solutions Architect (Compute & Virtualization)
# of Positions: 2 ( 1 in US-East and 1 in Germany)
Locations: US-East & Germany
On-site/Remote: (50% Onsite in Ratingen
Cost to ITP: Open (Competitive/Aggressive)
Duration: Until 31st Dec 2019(Will be extended based on performance)

Job Description:
• Administrate all three VF CI environments VCE CI (vXblock), HPE CI (HPE rack & blade server, 3par, switches) and VFs self-build TCI (Dell Rack Server, Cisco Switches and VMAX)
• Assist in hardware extensions for production (new Servers, memory extensions, disk extensions) together with the respective vendor
• Troubleshoot issues of latency, NSX network, firewall, vRealize Automation setup
• Assist in upgrade planning for RCM (vBlock driver Matrix), VMware VVD setup or HPE CI environment
• Technical coordination and integration into the customer environment
• Planning & creation of processes around the CI environment (operating model etc)
• Because of the recent changes in the responsibilities of the CI teams and additionally the change management and upper management becoming more cautious performing activities on CI, we are forced to perform more and more of those activities out of office hours
• Hardware changes and extensions of all CI systems in Ratingen, Dublin, Milan and Swindon
• Maintenance windows for fixing issues on the VVD Layer (vSphere, NSX, vRealize Automation)
• Planned changes on components like SAN or LAN switches
• Assisting in Platform Upgrades like RCM and VVD patching
• Experience in Network and Storage virtualization.
• Experience with VMware vSphere 3,4,5,6 VMware vCenter 3,4,5,6 Experience with integration of infrastructure virtualization solutions with other platform technologies (i.e. Storage, Server, Network, Active Directory, Database other operating systems).
• Understanding of Security Standards and concepts
• Candidate should be able to architect and troubleshoot VMware NSX.
• Additional related tasks pertaining to the customer requirements
• Preferred knowledge on Storage platforms: Storage Area Networking (SAN), Network Attached Storage
• Preferred knowledge on data center Infrastructure: Cisco Nexus, high-end data
Certifications
Preferred CCIE, VCP/VCIX/VCDX
