Job: Cloud Operations Manager (Service Integration) - Devops
Location: Germany - Düsseldorf
Contract Rate: £650 a day + expenses paid (hotel, flights, food, etc)
Duration: 6 month (likely to extend to over 1 year)

3 days a week on-site/there is some further freelance work with the consultancy that can be provided to offer a solution on the other 2 days.
Role:
Will be responsible for care of the entire end to end cloud footprint. This includes implementation, security, CI/CD, operations and deployment of new applications. Providing cloud operations services providing support to the application developers, infrastructure engineers.
Responsibilities:-
- Experience technically qualifying requirements and architecting applications (enterprise).
- Experienced in providing service management and integration services (this is across different cloud environments, specifically Google Compute Cloud).
- Infrastructure & application management & operations ensuring agreed cloud resource availability levels as defined in the SLA's and Cloud Deployment of applications and services, including change and configuration management.
- Configuration Management and Automation (tools like Chef, Puppet, Saltstack, Ansible).
- Knowledge of revision control source code repositories (Git, SVN, Mercurial, Perforce).
- Experience managing agile development principles, configuration management, continuous delivery and continuous integration.
- Scripting skills (Powershell, Python, Bash, Ruby, Perl, etc.).
- Be able to support a rich set of components in service-oriented architectures such as but not limited to: Databases,Service Buses and Message Queues, Caches and Indexes, Data analysis and machine learning pipelines.
Identify system improvements that could result in the following: -
- Improve operational metrics such as quicker deployments, cost concerns, resilience, security.
- Manage operational risks.
- Be able to implement SLA's such as uptime requirements, performance requirements, incident response and notification.
- Be able to perform tests of implemented cloud architecture to demonstrate system resilience to increased traffic, latency, processing capabilities etc. (Chaos Engineering experienced preferred).
- Experience in Open Source development and systems automation.
- Experience collaborating with developers and operations in DevOps enabled environments.
