Aufgaben:
- Document the architecture of the existing monitoring environment, and the metrics being monitored
- Investigate and identify opportunities to improve and consolidate existing monitoring systems
- Define appropriate KPIs alongside business stakeholders
- In collaboration with the project manager, create a roadmap for an improved monitoring environment
- Create high-quality presentation material outlining the as-is and to-be environments
- Create high-quality technical documentation.
- Enable tools and processes to improve the service management including incident and capacity management
***The role will be based in NRW, Germany, and only candidates with the relevant EU work permits can be considered for this role. Must be able to spend significant periods of time (minimum 60%) in NRW.***

Fach-Skills:
- SME level of knowledge and experience across entire monitoring space
- Past experience delivering transformative improvements across existing monitoring environments, in conjunction with modern cloud hosted environments (AWS,Azure, Google, O365, etc.)
- Proven experience defining architectural patterns for monitoring & observability and driving adoption and change
- Experience developing centralised filtering and priority based alerting
- Experience of working with modern monitoring stacks: Examples are Nexthink, Dynatrace, Monitis, AppDynamics, Splunk
- Experience of monitoring both infrastructure and application performance using 3rd-party monitoring tools
- Coordinate and leverage the knowledge transfer cross different application and business IT teams.
- Strong understanding of technical networking principles.
Preferred:
- University bachelor’s degree in a technical IT-related subject
Soft-Skills:
- Experience working with outsourced infrastructure providers
- Strong ability to influence and get buy in across different technical domains/teams
- Strong ownership, ability to work undirected to discover gaps and propose and action improvements in an iterative and agile manner
- Creativity - taking new approaches to tackle problems; embracing innovation and sharing knowledge with, a range of sources and stakeholders
- Ability to define strategy/roadmaps for longer term improvements
- Team player with the ability to work autonomously when required
- Strong collaborative working practices and communication skills
- Knowledge and experience of agile working
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be fluent in English (written and spoken.) Fluent German is preferred but not mandatory
