Freelance Senior Java Developer/Java Engineer - Java 8, Microservices, Kafka, AWS - Berlin

€75-€90 per hour D.O.E
Contract - 6 months
Start Date - Immediate
We are partnered with a leading Berlin-based eCommerce platform who are seeking experienced freelance Senior Java Developers to join cross functional team of multi-skilled IT professionals.
Role Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal logistics team and stakeholders to improve the clients' systems and their functionality with a focus on performance security
- Solve complex engineering problems to enhance service and overall customer experience
- Refine and grow your expertise in Continuous Integration, Microservices, DDD, Event-driven architectures and RESTful APIs
- Promote and contribute to good software engineering practices across the team and all of IT
- Define clean, secure, and self-explanatory APIs
Your Profile
- A real team-player who feels comfortable working together with your peers
- You believe in simplicity and enjoy practices such as TDD and clean code
- Demonstrable experience writing Microservices architecture
- Familiarity with at least one of the following: Spring Cloud stream, Kafka, Kinesis
- Proven work experience using Domain Driven Design and/or Event Driven Architecture
- Strong foundation on OOP and division of concerns
- Experience applying CQRS (desirable)
- Familiarity with AWS and continuous deployment
