Aufgaben/Qualifikationen:

Requirements
The engagement will consist of 4 distinct activities which themselves will consist of a number of deliverables:

1. Reporting and process best practice
• Validation of our monitoring systems and the associated use of these alerts within our incident and problem management processes.
• Assess the response to alerts and the restoration of service in the quickest and most effective manner.
• The aim will be to improve our response to major incidents and provide the necessary data to enhance root cause investigations
Deliverables – prioritised report on process and tool recommendations.

2. Problem analysis and root cause
• Work with us and C&W teams to review the trend and content of the major incidents.
• Provide input in the determination of root cause; suggest recommendations for further investigation and/or long term solution(s).
• Ensure we have the necessary links into the monitoring systems to support this activity.
• The aim will be to avoid future major incidents through the delivery of long term resolutions of workarounds.
Deliverables – prioritised delivered of workarounds and/or long term solutions.

3. Establish a process to switch the network into LSP mode
• Engage 3rd party resource as required to establish a model which would enable our voice network to operate in LSP mode.
• Undertake the design activity to identify the configurations needed to continue BAU functions whilst in LSP mode. This needs to ensure the following key business features are supported:
1. Call recording and CTI event data (presented via the Verint Ultra10 system) 2. Call routing preserved between sites (applying the Avaya IGAR configuration utility) 3. Call management information for the contact centre network via the Avaya CMS utility.
• Construct a plan to instigate the LSP model and also recover back to normal centralised operation.
• Work with our IT resource to test the plan and if required instigate.
• The aim is to offer the business an option of moving into a WAN independent mode to assure stability of their voice infrastructure.
Deliverables – a plan to switch in/out of LSP mode and any necessary architectural adjustments that would facilitate that process.

4. Quality Assurance Overview
• Apply a holistic and wide ranging independent review of the overall architecture and processes applied.
• Draw comparison with industry best practice and arrangements that have a track record of success.
• The aim would be to bolster our current infrastructure and associated practices to improve the current situation and prevent reoccurrence.
Deliverables – QA input to each project workstream and an independent report on the technical and process components.
