für unseren Kunden suchen wir einen Kandidaten für den (TSM) Tivoli Storage Manager Support & Betrieb.

Description:
Solving of issues within the scope of e.g. Tivoli Storage Manager with emphasis on Data Protection (Application clients).
Seeing customers through the gathering of configuration files, trace files and logs.
In depth analysis of the obtained data.

Skills:
- Profound understanding of the controlling of data streams, both of the general regularities (data integrity, flow control, error correction, multiplexing, multipathing, compression, ...), and in reference to specific implementations, including security, within the areas of TCP/IP, NetBIOS over TCP/IP, sequential media, random-access media and meta-devices.
- Understanding of the architecture of databases, namely the task of online backups in 7dx24h high availability environments (Microsoft Cluster, HACMP-Cluster).
- Detailed knowledge of IBM Tivoli Storage Manager architecture, including internal
processes as well as interactions with database applications via the respective
interfaces.
- Recreation of customer's environments in order to isolate malfunction, emphasis on
databases in multi-platform environment, including account Storage Area Network and other network components.
- Capability to create customized tools (e.g. scripts) for capturing malfunctions, which are invisible to the regular debugging code.
- Making these tools available to the support team.
- Interpretation of test results and their direct representation of conclusions to the IBM TSM Software developers worldwide, mostly in USA and Europe.
- Detection of function deficiencies within the software product combined with the ability to make detailed suggestions for improvement.
- Close cooperation with international customers and developers.
- Discussing problems with clients, laboratory and co-workers.
- Research in databases and literature.
- Recreation and analysis of complex problems within heterogeneous environments.
- Provision of fast solutions.
- Onsite support in critical situations.
- Ability to work cross-team, cross-platform.
