based documentation of business requirements to ensure comparability of
business unit requirements

Project Description
CIP - Global requirements definition
The Customer Interaction Portal (CIP) initiative of our customer started in 2008 with the implementation of a single instance of a SAP Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application within the group to reduce the number of redundant CRM applications. This CRM implementation is based on a global CRM template which defines the global functions and their keys and codes. Additionally there is the need to increase functionality in marketing and sales oriented processes such as price and margin management (PMM) as well as business rules management (BRM). Last but not least the eCommerce functionality of our customer shall be integrated into the CIP platform. Therefore the platform CIP deals with four major systems:
• Customer Relationship Management
• Price and Margin Management
• Business Rule Management
• eCommerce
The goal of this CIP platform is to improve the quality and efficiency of customer interaction by providing one central entry point to customer related information and transactions for all customer employees within their different job functions.
Within the Project „CIP - Global requirements definition” the requirements of a global template for the four major systems of Customer Interaction Portal will be defined.
Role Description
The following legacy CRM Systems have to be analyzed: SFA (iAvenue), SalesNet (Siebel), Dragon (Lotus Notes), Wincard, Serviceland (Siebel). This is to get an overview of existing CRM processes and functions and to decide how to proceed with these topics in the future migrations to global CRM. Based on this overview, the requirements to a global CRM Template will be defined. The following steps describe the approach chosen by our customer:For documentation of the template processes Aeneis as a tool has been chosen by our customer. The processes need to be documented on level one to four.
1. Identification of existing functionality and processes within each legacy CRM system. - Based on the high level legacy system process overview and workshops with appropriate represenatives the existing functions and processes need to be analyzed and documented.
2. Evaluation and classification of the identified functionality and processes in global/non-global. - The identified functions and processes need to be categorized. Functions and processes that are identified to become part of the global CRM template are considered as global ones, those that are specific for a region or business are classified as non-global.
3. Fit/Gap analysis against global Template. - Identified functions and processes need to be checked against the global template. In case they are already part of the template, it must be analyzed if the template derives. If the template derives either the template needs to be adopted or the identified functions and processes need to be adopted or the function or process will be added to the core template, or it might not be part of CRM. A recommendation will be given. In case the function or process is not part of the template a recommendation will be given to add it to the global template or to add it as a specific solution, to implement it in an other system, for example BW, PMM, eCommerce or to skip the requirement.
4. Alignment with Global CRM Application Owner and CIP Governance. - The recommendations mentioned above will be presented to the governance board, to achieve a decision. The recommendation contains a short presentation of - "Function or process" - "Business need" - "Solution approach (e.g. customizing, development in/out of standard)" - "Rough effort estimation" - "Impact on scalability, release upgrade, ongoing costs". - The Governance Board will make the decision based on the recommendations.
5. Update SAP CRM core template to fulfill legacy CRM system global requirements:
For those requirements that are decided to become part of the global template, the template needs to be updated.
In addition a migration concept for the legacy CRM systems SalesNet, iAvenue, Dragon, Serviceland, Wincard need to be developed including: "Project approach" - "Milestone planning" - "Cost estimation for implementation" - "Specific legacy system requirements" - "Business processes" - "Master and transactional data" - "Transaction data" - "Interfaces" - "load jobs" - "Training concept".
Location: mainly Mannheim/Ludwigshafen area, travelling to North and South America, Europe, Asia Pacific
