Job Description
In the role of Test Engineer, you will act as a validation and quality assurance expert and review the functionality of existing systems. You will conduct requirement analysis, define test strategy & design and lead execution to guarantee superior outcomes. You will also be required to design an optimal test environment to simulate real-time scenarios. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with some of the best talent in the industry to create innovative high quality and defect-free solutions to meet our clients’ business needs. Responsibilities
• You will be Overall accountable for end to end testing of network devices
• Drive Client meetings
• Plan and prepare test plans and automation strategy
• Play the role of a Team mentor to offshore Team of 5-8 people
• Actively work towards team building and skill improvement planning
• Customer complaint management
• Conceptualize service improvement initiatives and drive them to closure
• Provide technical solution to the team and fulfill what is needed to meet project objectives and deliverables
• Take the end to end responsibility of incident resolution within agreed service levels
• Drive problem management process
Qualifications Basic:
Basics
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent preferred
• At least 3 years of experience in Testing and Automation, with knowledge of Media Systems, Services and Products like IPTV, VoD, DVR, OTT/STB, Streaming Video etc. Should have hands on expertise in application testing and automation
• Minimum 3 years of experience in testing and Automation of Media CPE (STB, Gateways), Services and Products like Streaming Video, STB applications etc. Should have in-depth knowledge of Cable domain
• At least 3 years of experience in Selenium Webdriver, Perl, Python, Witbe, TCL / Tk, S3, automation tools like HPQC and/or other industry frameworks. Strong skills with object oriented design patterns, Java, AWT/Swing, web / service development testing and automation using the same
Preferred
• Experience in at least 3 or more of the following Technical areas - IPTV STB, Multimedia devices (DLNA), STB functionalities ( EPG, VOD, DVR, DVS, DVB, DRM, CDS, CAS, etc.
• Hands-on experience with MVC framework and Restful and/or SOA Web Services testing and automation of the same
• At least 3 years of experience in software testing life cycle
• Experience in software development life cycle
• Experience in translating functional/non-functional requirements to system requirements
• Experience in Project life cycle activities on testing and automation projects
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment
• Ability to work in team environment with diverse/multiple stakeholders
• Keen Analytical and Interpersonal skills
