The deployment and operations specialist is responsible for:
* Integration and deployment of new or enhanced Services into the hosting environment
* Interface with development and influence Service Design
* Ensuring that Service are delivered according to services levels and key performance measures & indicators
* Improving the services’ performance and processes constantly, reducing efforts and increasing ser-vice quality
* Playing a creative role in introducing new processes and flexible ways of working on how new ser-vices are being deployed and maintained
Gesucht werden 2 Operational Specialists/Engineers für das Deployment und den Betrieb von innovativen Mobile Applications in einem großen internationalen Hosting-Environment. Wichtig: es werden Unix/J2EE Experten gesucht die Hands-On an der Konsole arbeiten - Projektmanagement Know-how ist nice-to-have aber nicht der Fokus der Aufgaben ! Gute Englisch Kenntnisse sind ein Muss da in einem internationalen Team gearbeitet wird.

Currently our customer is responsible for the integration, deployment and launching new or enhanced services. Once launched these services need to be optimized and maintained. Our client works to-gether with Development and Marketing.
The deployment and operations specialist is responsible for:
* Integration and deployment of new or enhanced Services into the hosting environment
* Interface with development and influence Service Design
* Ensuring that Service are delivered according to services levels and key performance measures & indicators
* Improving the services’ performance and processes constantly, reducing efforts and increasing ser-vice quality
* Playing a creative role in introducing new processes and flexible ways of working on how new ser-vices are being deployed and maintained
Main Tasks / Accountabilities:

* Integration of services into other centrally hosted platforms
* Conduct stability, performance and load testing
* Conduct functional testing
* Act as an interface to the global service desk
* Configuration management and versioning
* Responsible for Global hosted Application.
* Responsible for incident, problem and service request management including implementation of workarounds and changes
* Responsible for 24x7 service availability by means of on call duty
* Responsible for root cause analysis and sustainable solution generation
* Responsible for preparation and execution of service requests
* Responsible for proper operation in terms of configuration, changes, implementation, rollout and preparation for all operated services and all tools which are or will be deployed in Global Application Operations
* Ensure timely notification to Global Service Desk of all service impacting incidents
* Enable application service desk to fulfil predefined task to improve time back to service in case of service disruptions
* Responsible for Application Monitoring in alignment.
* Responsible for standard housekeeping tasks
* Responsible for monitoring performance / availability / capacity / batch jobs
* Responsible for delivering Alarms, Classification & Instructions for the Monitoring entity.
* Responsible application related database administration
* Evaluation of new software components in regards to performance, operability, stability and scalabil-ity
* Generate and provide reports and statistics
* Act as second and third Level Support, solve and dispatch application production issues
* Responsible for managing, tracking and discussing on a regular basis the achieved service and per-formance with the Service Provider / Supplier. Take actions to improve the service and relationship.
Interfaces:
===========
* Consulting development teams in regards to system and network architecture
* Resolve or dispatch trouble tickets to vendors and internally
* Integration of interfaces to operators (OpCo’s, partners and affiliates) into the hosting environment
Required Skills:
================
* Experienced in integration and operations of UNIX environments (20 servers), large scale system architectures and related applications and databases
* Expertise in software integration, deployment and testing procedures in a UNIX environment
* Good understanding of performance and stability testing of platforms
* Good knowledge of Web based applications, preferably in java
* Project experience as project member or manager
* Basic understanding of test methodology, methods and tools
* Expertise in Java and J2EE (JBoss, log4j, JVM tuning, garbage collector)
* Expertise in Apache configuration and rewrite rules, preferably as well in compilation, mpm, modules
* Experienced in rapid development with scripting languages programming like sh , perl, awk, sed, python etc.
* Good understanding of network protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, HTTP(S), SMTP), name services, load bal-ancing
* Familiar with network tools like tcpdump, wireshark, strace and dtrace
* Familiar with SQL and ORACLE / MySQL database administration
* Ability to work with ambitious timelines in a dynamic, high-growth environment
* Strong communication and decision making skills – ability to balance conflicting interests
* Strong interpersonal skills, ideally used in international environments
* Fluent in English
* Understanding of operational procedures and process standards (e.g. ITIL)
* Well developed technical knowledge across a broad range of IT topics
