System Lead Engineer for Control & Communication (m/f)

Ihre Aufgaben:
- Responsible for the design of the control functionalities within the locomotive and the multiple traction functionalities among multiple vehicles, including remote control system
- Responsible to define and develop the appropriate technical solutions to fulfill the customer and interoperability requirements and to coordinate the necessary information flow within the team
- Responsible to agree with the SW department the appropriate HW architecture for the vehicle control & communication system, to set and prove the safety requirements of the chosen solutions, to define the functional, reliability and maintenance requirements, to write and/or approve the SW specifications, to lead the suppliers to develop the sub-systems, to discuss the technical solutions with the Management and the Customers, to prepare strategic technical decisions
- Responsible of the performance of your solutions in the field
- The engineering work includes also project planning and documentation, controlling of project improvement, costs and deadlines as well as the participation to harmonization meetings with suppliers, customers, authorities in various countries and standardization groups
Ihre Qualifikation
- Electronic or electrical engineering (University Master or Bachelor degree)
- Sound knowledge in the industrial control systems, preferably in the railway or automotive vehicle business
- Good understanding of the safety standards and the related documentation
- Professional experience in technical leadership and project management skills
- Working goal-oriented and efficient
- Negotiation skills, such as a diplomatic but definite approach
- Readiness to take over responsibility and as a team player to deal with complex topics complex topics within international teams on cross-country engineering sites
- Fluent English is required
- Good written and spoken knowledge of German is a plus
- Further language skills would be an advantage
