We have an exciting opportunity for a Desktop Support Engineer to join a blue chip organisation in Bridgwater on an initial 3 month contract with extensions.
*Role is inside IR35 - Umbrella contractors only*
Required skills
As a minimum, each Desktop Support Engineer shall have the following skills
Ø Working technical knowledge in order to address service work orders, for PCs, laptops, cabling, televisions, projectors, phones, peripherals and site security equipment
Ø Working technical knowledge of standard systems and business software
Ø Client facing soft skills
Ø Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ø Ability to apply intermediate level of subject matter knowledge
Ø Works on problems/projects of moderately medium-complex scope
Ø Exercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures
Ø Evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations.
Ø Typically 2-3 years of experience
Ø Ability to provide disposal services
Ø Able to independently problem solve
Ø Able to provide feedback on new technical processes to help drive efficiency
As a Desktop Support Engineer you will provide the necessary Kiosk location/room to facilitate the Service provided by the on-site engineer
Provide a capability to carry out the following responsibilities:
* Manage stock levels within the Kiosk
* Provide ad hoc devices in case a device cannot be provided from a locker
* Provide hardware items to engineers on request
* Receive and return devices from the end users
