Your main tasks will be reviewing, assessing, and considering the solution proposals of the suppliers regarding the complete picture of the segmentation Firewalls.Key responsibilities
The Global IT Solution Architect – Network Firewall (m/f/d) is responsible for the overall technical solution of the Network / Firewall area within an IT Infrastructure setup of a large global company
He is responsible for the Solution Design and Implementation consulting
Check & optimize the FMO solution in critical cases
Create new general network solutions for various problems with applications and dependencies of existing solutions in consultation with the suppliers
Help solving network issues
Support with guidance for the Firewall team and Application owners regarding Firewall rule sets
Technical support of creating processes
Working closely with the Project Manager responsible for the Network / Connectivity Pillar of an IT Infrastructure Carve-out project
Working closely with Cyber Security Team
Key challenges
Quickly get understanding of the whole network architecture and derive conclusions
Ability to read and understand Firewall rule sets quickly and derive conclusions
Qualification
Project experience in planning / solution consulting for IT Networks and Segmentation
Project management experience
Proven experience in the coordination of technical teams
Good written and spoken German & English language skills
Technical Expertise
Broad overall IT Infrastructure (Network, Datacenter, Clients) knowledge
Expert Knowledge about:
Firewall technology & products (Checkpoint)
Firewall policy mgmt. (Tufin)
Firewall log analysis & management (ElasticSearch)
IP Protocols
Application fundamentals
