We are currently looking for an Azure Monitoring consultant (m/f/d) for our energy client
Duration: Until April
Volume: fulltime
Location: remote
Language: English, German (nice-to-have)
Background: Hosting and Cloud Technologies security team manages the overall security activities on Azure specific to hosting services - IaaS & PaaS (excluding AAD, O365 CRM).
The responsibility of this project also includes Azure resources IAM (RBACs, Azure VM access).
The security team acts as a Single Point of Contact and coordinates between other Hosting and Cloud technolgoies technical teams (Infra, DB, Network, clients security team, Microsoft and other relevant parties
Tasks (performed independently):
- Review the existing cloud security framework document and propose the changes following the security standards to the client in a workshop to get internal approval.
- Review and validate security concepts for completeness based on best practices.
- Check the existing Azure architecture footprints by analysing all aspects of the design. Create a standard security principal for all Azure based services (IAAS/PAAS/SAAS/VPNs).
- Organise threat assessments (security issues) to identify potential risks, mature and strengthen the azure environment & mitigate (take actions to remediate) any findings.
- Manage security concept escalations by using ServiceNow. The information will be provided by the clients CDC team.
- Identify security issues in Azure environment based on information from the security team and mitigate vulnerabilities in the Azure cloud estate by using Azure DevOps. Present the results to the the Hosting and cloud technologies team and Application teams.
- Design and implement azure security policies following the guidelines provided in the cloud security framework document for Azure to enhance the security posture within the Azure framework. Present (demo) it to client for sign-off after testing in pre-prod environment.
- Review and document Azure PaaS security, design policies and enhancements. Create documentations and present them to the application community to enhance Azure PaaS security.
- Organize and conduct MS Teams meetings (weekly) with Security as required to review applications security configurations. Once reviewed, document the details and share it with the application teams.
Skills:
- Good knowledge on infrastructure monitoring tools (Zabbix/Dynatrace/datadog etc)
- Azure monitoring skills
> Agent deployment and management for IaaS services
> Configuration of PaaS services for monitoring
> Configuration of Azure alerting
- Log analytic and Kusto experience
- Experience of Windows/Linux operating systems
- Team leadership skills - communication, organization, team work, customer orientation & ability to innovate
- Problem solving & interpersonal skills
Nice to have:
- Zabbix experience (to complete our migration off Zabbix to native Azure monitoring)
- Experience of integrating monitoring tooling with Service Now
