Google Cloud Platform Architect - GCP
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cloud Architect with experience of working on the Google Cloud Platform. This organisation are going through rapid growth and are expanding globally. You will be working on the most cutting edge technologies and have a passion for what you do.
What team will you be on?
Our Cloud Professional Services team helps provide consultative, architectural, program and engineering support for our customers' journeys to the cloud. We support and encourage a collaborative approach to cloud adoption, sharing best practices, helping change the culture of teams and strategic support to ensure success.
What will your role be?
The Cloud Architect promotes the organisations services by providing thought leadership internally and externally while enabling innovation using public cloud.
- Technical Leadership - Provides overall technical architecture leadership and direction on project engagements.
- Stakeholder Management - Guides and influences customer stakeholders
- Adept at strategic planning with understanding how to identify business needs, problems, and risks.
- Optionally responsible for the technical mentorship and guidance of a team of up to 5 people, keeping members accountable for action items on IDP, owning initiatives
What are we looking for?
- Typically Bachelor's degree with a number of years of professional experience.
- Has successfully delivered at least 3 cloud delivery projects for at least 2 different customers (preferably Google Cloud Platform).
- Customer facing experience of a consultative nature.
- At least 1 Pro level certification and 1 Specialty certification (can be attained within the probation period)
- Coding - Proficiency in most provider-specific services and experience architecting and implementing in at least 3 CA specialisms.
- Experience with architecting, designing, implementing, and supporting greenfield and/or migration projects using public cloud
- Deep technical experience in one or more of the following competencies:
- Software design or development (continuous delivery/integration, adoption of DevOps practices)
- Systems Operations/Management
- Enterprise Architecture
- Infrastructure Design
- IT Security and Governance
- Automation and System Orchestration
- Fluent German speaking skills
