We are currently looking for 2 Big Data Experts / Data Scientists to work on a project, which aims to increase the work’s efficiency and safety.You will be supporting and advising the team in setting up a modern ETL architecture for a data lake in the AWS environment but also you will need to provide consultations / coaching in the area of data lake architecture configuration of AWS. As an expert you are expected to have excellent problem-solving skills, which are in accordance with the industry’ best practices. You will be developing data flows using AWS technologies and Apache Spark / Scala. Further responsibilities will be to describe and document the functional and non-functional requirements (NFA) in the form of epics, features and user stories. You will be creating technical documents (e.g. use cases / user stories, product backlog, functional system descriptions, technical service descriptions, technical interface descriptions). Moreover, you will need to deal with the technical requirements for the IT systems and create functional specifications and documentation of requirements in Jira Creation.
Project details:
- Starting period: 25.10.2021
- Ending period: 31.12.2021 (possible extension)
- Working days: 50 days
- Full-time (5 days/week)
- Location: Remote / Frankfurt am Main (10% on-site)

Experience: 1st Role:
- Big Data projects with at least one ETL tool using AWS services
- Architecture and implementation knowledge in the AWS stack (e.g. ECS, EMR Glue)
- Programming with Apache Spark and Scala
- Coaching in the area of the use of AWS services in the big data environment
- Agile environment (e.g. Scrum).
- Certification / knowledge (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer).
- Problem-solving / work organization know-how
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
Experience: 2nd Role:
- ETL tool ODI (Oracle Data Integrator)
- BI / DWH architecture
- Data modeling, database design and implementation
- Agile software development process models, especially Scrum
- Stakeholder management
