- Collaborate on the ongoing migration from NetSplunk to Octopus, part of the OneStrike project aiming tool consolidation- Interview NetSplunk users, understand their needs and map these into predictable tangible tasks
- Develop & implement all necessary existing monitoring needs in the upcoming solution, Octopus based on the ELK stack
- Answer questions from users & people about all migration related topics
- Prepare & publish How-to's and Run-books for the new landscape
- Guide users & power users while onboarding to the new tool
- Compile all new features and the improvement gap between, both solutions; Aimed to gage the improvement and implementation success
- Work on a cyclic scrum approach, expected to deliver tangible results every sprint (2 weeks)
- Work closely together with transition manager, ensuring overlapping responsibilities to readily and consistently deliver results
Skills / Profil:
- Good communication skills, English is SAP's default universal language, being NetSplunk globally deployed, mandatory
- Be sufficiently familiar with Splunk, to understand existing use-cases and migrate them accordingly including non-exclusively (dashboards, complex saved searches, Alerts and Reports)
- Be proficient with the ELK stack, able to implement and adjust all the existing, cases. Assist users to go beyond swap platform, but to experience all the benefits this migration will inherently has the potential to provide
- Customer oriented aptitude, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable transition between tools, understanding that humans are creatures of habit and averse to changes
- “There are no problems, only solutions” attitude
- Ability to translate User defined requirements into technically applicable solutions
- Be self-sufficient and yet able to work collaboratively on parcels of a big project
- Handle pressure, understanding that large problems can be segmented, becoming straightforward manageable tasks
- Be goal oriented, always striving to achieve tangible results, using flexibility to interact and swiftly "reroute", when appropriate
- Candidates should attach examples/project descriptions of work performed with both tools: Splunk and ELK based solutions.
