An Information Technology company that develops and implements big data solutions for international companies is looking for a Devops Engineer whose main mission is to run the complete development and production infrastructure, including monitoring, troubleshooting and optimization. The organisation helps customers manipulate and analyze their data in global data centers using advanced big data, machine learning and deep learning tools in a productive environment.The company is currently focusing in particular on the area of ??research and development in the automotive industry with technological developments such as autonomous driving and Connected Car.
Your tasks
- You develop concepts and integrate new software and system components from the Hadoop world (Hortonworks, Cloudera, MapR) and the ELK stack with common methods and tools from the CI / CD world such as Jenkins, Gitlab, Nexus and Co.
- You conceptualize the relevant IT processes in the infrastructure environment, which are provided on-premise or off-premises (cloud), optimizing automation with tools such as Ansible or Vagrant
- You run the complete development and production infrastructure, including monitoring (Icinga2), troubleshooting and optimization
- You continue to develop the entire IT infrastructure, interacting with different cloud providers (Azure, OTC, etc.) as well as virtualization and container technologies such as VMWare and Docker, and overseeing their administration
- You control and optimize the release process of our products, taking into account best practices such as Git-Flow.
- You support the development team through very close collaboration and create automated and holistic solutions in the context of software development
Your strengths
- You have a degree in computer science or a related field.
- You have a good knowledge of networks and Linux and feel at home on the command line.
- You bring along experience in the areas of administration, development, system integration as well as server and application operation.
- You have in-depth knowledge of common Internet technologies and their protocols.
- You have already acquired know-how in script programming (eg Bash or Python) and ideally also in big data technologies (eg Hadoop).
