currently we are looking for 2x SIEM/ArcSight Consultants for a mayor client in NRW.
Role purpose:
The Level-2 Security Analyst is a senior intrusion analyst that can work simultaneously on multiple security incidents and daily operational tasks. The Level-2 Analyst is continually refining the rules and logic within the SEIM to make the GSOC team more efficient and effective. The role will deliver qualified information about Real Time threats and threat indicators and is responsible for providing recommendations on how the associated risk can be mitigated. The position works closely with the GSOC SIEM specialists, Security Incident management and analyst teams and will be expected to provide superior technical security expertise to ensure that the GSOC is always delivering a professional service to its customers. The Level-2 Security analyst is responsible for professional communications and reporting to GSOC stakeholders and customers. The Level-2 analyst acts as a mentor and teacher to all Level-1 analysts and is responsible for ensuring knowledge transfer takes place within the team
Key accountabilities and decision ownership :
- Responsible for execution and maintenance of GSOC related analytical processes and tasks
- Provides professional data analysis within the GSOC processes and to GSOC customers in order to drive further security measures and risk mitigation activities.
- Ensure optimal operation of SIEM filters, rules, expressions and other identification mechanisms of the threat and vulnerability management technologies used within the GSOC
- mentor and guide the Level-1 analysts
- Build on and continuously improves GSOC analytics framework
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
- Deep information security expertise
- Intrusion Detection & Analysis skills
- Penetration Testing
- Malware analysis
- Excellent communication skills needed to drive the various operationally required communication processes within the GSOC environment towards GSOC staff, internal and external customers and outsourcing partners
