Responsibilities
- Develop and design pre sales activities for the sale of storage and backup solutions
- Lead all aspects of the sales/delivery product life cycle, including solution development, bid management, contract negotiation, SOW creation, and SLA/KPI delivery
- Deliver solutions to existing data center customers
- Participate in all phases of storage engineering, including design, analysis, highly technical modeling, and implementation
- Perform feasibility reviews or engineered solutions
- Integrate and educate storage operations teams of new solutions
- Influence new and evolving designs and architectures
- Analyze, test, and design storage solutions
- Manage availability, latency, and performance of storage services into overall storage designs
- Oversees and implements storage system upgrades and optimization strategies
Qualifications
- Expert in storage and system administration
- Proven experience in defining, configuring, and maintaining storage systems in multi-protocol environments
- Strong knowledge in SAN, NAS, snapshot, mirror, replication, NDMP
- Expert in storage for enterprise virtualization, including ESxi/Hyper-V
- Experience in large data center environments with multiple terabytes of data
- Experience in customer support or network administration
- Deep understanding in network file systems (JFS, CIFS, Linux, Unix) and virtualization
