Location: Cologne, Germany (+/- 20 KM).

The skill focus for the external consultant is to have a strong experience in conducting Network Assessments for Cloud Requirements. Product focus shall be Cisco, IPAM is a nice to have.
For the Network assessment and the network assets it is important for the consultant to understand the impact of the bandwidth for the consummation of cloud services. Therefore sites and personas need to evaluated in terms of the bandwidth usage during their daily business, which traffic is being used/does an express route make sense. Security aspects for O365 like Firewalls need to evaluated as well since they differ when using cloud compared to on premise.
We need the candidate profiles as soon as possible. Therefore it would be great to receive the first candidate profiles today. Telephone interviews can be held shortly after we have received the profiles.
- Strong knowledge & experience in conducting Network Assessment for
Cloud requirements
- Strong work experience on Enterprise Datacentre environment including large Network build, migrations and test.
- Strong knowledge on Cisco Catalyst and ISR families.
- Strong knowledge on Cisco Nexus Families and different types of connectors.
- Should be familiar od code upgrade and hardware replacement on the international sites.
- Strong knowledge on Cisco Nexus Families and different types of connectors.
- Should be familiar with Cisco Hardware, software and Licensing.
- Should be familiar of switching and routing technologies to troubleshoot and propose suitable design change during upgrades.
- Good presentation and documentation skill.
- Strong understanding on different types of cabling for Data centers and large campus sites across different part of world.
- Strong understanding for DHCP, IPAM, DNS architecture.
- 802.11b/g/n, 802.11 a/n wireless implementations, configuration of advanced features like Flex connect, AP groups, Anchor mobility, RRM, HREP
- 802.11n, 802.11i, 802.1x, 802.11e, Lwapp/CAP,WAP, WPA2, EAP, PEAP, EAP-TLS, CAPWAP, RADIUS
- Cisco products: 2100, 2500, 4400, 5500, PRIME NCS
- Knowledge on Infoblox IPAM will be added as advantage
- 6+ Years strong working experience in enterprise datacenter/DR and global network services
- Experience deploying and configuring Cisco Nexus 7000, 5000 and 2000 Switches.
- Experience in handling EOS and EOL upgrades and life cycle management
- Working knowledge and ability to understand the architecture of Nexus 7000, Line cards (M-series/F-series).
- Knowledge of L2/L3 topology design and protocol implementation. Understanding of new protocols being deployed intra and inter Data Center (OTV,LISP,VXLAN,NV-GRE)
- Experience on WLAN including installing/Troubleshooting over Secure Mobility, Voice Over WLAN, Location Based Services, and Wireless Guest Access, Cisco Prime NCS, Cisco/HP Controllers
- Good understanding and working experience in VOIP based data network environment
- Good understanding on Cisco Firewall ASA families and VPN (IP Sec and SSL) site to site as well as site to client technologies
- Good understanding on functionality of DNS and Proxy Servers
