PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
SAP's Global Business Operations (GBO) is a critical enabler of our business success by providing advanced and efficient IT solutions, technology and operational support to our internal Clients. Supporting more than 87,000 users and thousands of SAP systems, it is responsible for SAP's worldwide IT infrastructure and internal business applications.
SAP IT Services is the unit within GBO, which is responsible for delivering business applications be it classical SAP or new SaaS solutions, mobile apps, web & Hana Cloud Platform-based applications, as well as client technology services covering hardware, client software and unified communications solutions.
Within IT Services the unit NextGen IT Services is responsible to deliver, experiment and showcase fun, easy-to-use and innovative solutions for all SAP Employees and establish a new SAP wide solution/application adoption culture.
Our Key Objectives are:
. Implement & Operate the Run Simple Showroom initiative
. Support the future of work initiative from an SAP perspective
. Drive internal IT application adoption and acceptance
. Drive adoption of NextGen IT tools
. Drive and support internal and external events and position IT as innovative frontrunner
. Jointly with relevant LoBs create tangible reference stories to increase awareness on our solutions
. Support the required mindset change within GBO and demonstrate a startup culture approach
. Showcase GBO innovations at different collaboration spaces
. Collaborate with HR to support high performance onboarding from IT perspective
. Attract new talent for IT via different event formats
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
As the NextGen IT Experiences - Digital Hero Community Intern you will:
. Organize a highly recognized community of multipliers to drive end-user adoption and best practices/
use cases for SAP
. Be social and manage all communication channels to distribute success stories and get engaged with community (incl. regular stakeholder sessions)
. Organize dedicated community events
. Support the roll-out of NextGen tools, eg Mural, Mindmeister, etc.
. Support the mindset shift within GBO in representing a startup culture with an open work environment
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
. Student at university or university of applied sciences
. Preferred field of study: Business, Communication or related field
. Organizational talent and ability to manage stakeholders and network across units and board areas
. Proven track record in event management (community events) and project management
. High level of flexibility and energy, self-starter
. Conceptual and structured work style with a strong sense for prioritization
. Advanced communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively and express ideas and plans with enthusiasm
. Ability to demonstrate and influence within groups
. Entrepreneurial Mindset
. Fluent in English and German
