Stellenbeschreibung
- Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems
- Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security
- Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations
- Assist developers and implementation team with complex query tuning and schema refinement
- Prepare and maintain database-related documents including database schemas and architectural solutions that represent and support business processes
Profil
- several years MS SQL Server Administration experience (MS SQL Server 2008 R2 or higher)
- Strong knowledge of T-SQL
- Database indexing and maintenance in case of significant number of data and concurrent requests to the database
- Familiarity with data modeling tools such as ErWin, MS Visio
- Proficient understanding of code version control tools such as TFS/Git/SVN
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English
Nice to have
- Familiarity with distributed systems including data synchronization technologies such as SQL replication
- Experience with usage of different collations, non-Unicode strings and various date calendars and formats
- Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
- Experience working with Windows server 2008+, including Active Directory
- Familiarity with principles for storing and managing GIS data in SQL Server
