Software ArchitectWe are currently recruiting for our client, a market leading technology company that is innovative the automotive space, for a Software Architect to join their growing office and team in Berlin.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with management and professionals to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new or existing applications
- To see the “big picture” and create architectural approaches for design and implementation to guide the development team, provide technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers
- Define all aspects of development from appropriate technology and workflow to coding standards
- Use tools and methodologies to create representations for functions and user interface of desired product
- Oversee progress of development team to ensure consistency with initial design
- Develop high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility
- Ensure meeting all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility etc
- Approve final product before launch
Qualification
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent)
- Fluent German and English language
- 8+ years’ of relevant professional experience, of which 3 years in design within IT architecture and development
- Hands on coding experience in various languages (C#, .NET, Java; J2EE etc.), experience in software development
- Experience in all application layers, infrastructure and databases (Oracle etc.), application design and architecture
- Excellent knowledge of UML and other modeling methods
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS, JavaScript and UI/UX design
- Understanding of quality assurance principles
- Must have a good blend of business and technical savvy; a broad-picture and future vision, and the ability to make those visions a reality
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent presentational skills, target oriented
