Big Data Administrator (Hadoop) required for the following -
8-10 years of experience in Software development, infrastructure management and 3+ years in setup, configuration & administration of Hadoop infrastructure.
Implementation experience in Cloudera cluster setup, configuration and administration.
Day to Day responsibilities
Work with the engineering team to propose and deploy hardware and software required for Hadoop environments.
Cluster maintenance as well as creation and removal of nodes using tools like Cloudera Manager Enterprise or other tools
Monitor Hadoop cluster connectivity and security
Manage and review Hadoop log files, File system management and monitoring
HDFS support and maintenance
Performance tuning of Hadoop clusters
Collaborating with application teams to install Hadoop updates, patches, version upgrades when required
Technical Skillset
Candidates should have good knowledge of Linux and Unix commands
Sound knowledge of Unix based File System
Deploy Hadoop cluster, add and remove nodes, keep track of jobs, monitor critical parts of the cluster, configure name-node high availability
General operational expertise such as good troubleshooting skills, understanding of system's capacity, bottlenecks, basics of memory, CPU, OS, storage, and networks
Cloudera Administrator certification is preferred
Knowledge of Troubleshooting Core Java Applications
