Needs:IT Solution Architect with Telco/mobile operator expirience
Tasks:
• Join Service Request initial analyze board meetings (PIA) to analyze if there could be ICT infrastructure impact
• Join project meetings to make sure customer Architecture principles and standards are applied correctly
• Join project meetings to for custom solutions to help design new solutions that should become standards again.
• Work with System designers and landscape architects to create a Custom solution that meets the customer ICT Architecture principles.
• Work with enterprise- software- and global architects to align the ICT Architecture principles to their (strategic)principles
• Work with System designers and landscape architects in the Transition project to make sure the customer ICT Architecture principles are met.
• Work together with another HPE Architect in a team with 3 customer ICT Architects
Utilization:
• 50-70% to reach a 100% availability towards customer (1week full time, next week 1 day, etc.)
Preference for a local Munich Area based person
German and English fluent both in speech and writing are a must.
Action Items.
The customer need to (re)gain control over their infrastructure:
OSS and BSS in real time with enough internal knowledge to steer the outsourcer to quickly resolve/prevent a (potential) outage, instead of an Outsourcers phone number and weekly report on the SLA's.
Architecture principals
They also need to create and rely on their Architecture principals to provide the governance over their suppliers/outsourcer(s) otherwise they are unable to make a move to another supplier/outsourcer/in source at the end of the contract.
DC consolidation/transformation
In order to make the Digitization work they need to create a limited number of "Super Switch" locations instead of their current scattered DC's : DC consolidation/transformation
Security
All these new technologies raise new challenges for the Security department of a Telco:
-shared hardware for multiple virtual infrastructure elements,
-DevOps: 1 environment for development, test and production???
-how do I guaranty security/separation/redundancy with VNF's running on the same Physical server/blade
-and how do I keep all these virtual FW's, IPS/IDS's, load balancers in line with the security policy
-and more important all Customer and Company data safe.
-all this in an outsourced environment collapse

beside technical skills it is important to have nontechnical skills to be able to lead meetings with customer outsourcing provider
