Network and Firewall Engineer (m/w) - Köln

Für unseren Kunden aus dem Versicherungsumfeld in Köln suchen wir ab sofort oder zum nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt einen erfahrenen Network & Firewall Engineer (m/w).

Main tasks/ Domains of responsibility
• Support and Operating of Cisco Network Equipment
• Support and Operating of Firewall Equipment
• Change / Implementation of FW-Rules
• Analysis of FW-Rules and routing

Technical requirements
• Overall knowledge of network security technology and
features.
• F5 Firewall Specialist
• Cisco Firewall Specialist
• Skilled and proven experience to optimize FW-Rules
• Skilled and proven experience to clean-up FW-Rules
of the above mentioned firewall vendors
• Skilled and proven in Algosec Tools
• General MS Office knowledge
• Experienced in working in an Enterprise DataCenters
environment
• Change Process
• Incident Process

Non-Technical requirements
• Some flexibility in working hours is required (occasional
work outside of normal working hours or
weekend/holiday work)
• On-call permanency (standby) is possible
• Good communication skills with different global
partners.
• Strong tracking, coordination and project planning skills
• Ability to identify and implement process and/or
application improvements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must be able to work on multiple simultaneous tasks
with limited supervision. Ability to work effectively under
pressure
• Quick learner, motivated self-starter
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal,
communication and team collaboration skills
• Able to follow change management procedures and
internal guidelines. Able to work in a global team and in
a multiple cultural environment.

Methodology / certification requirements
• Bachelor Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer
Science OR equivalent through experience.
• Advanced course work in technical systems plus
continued education in technical disciplines is preferred
• Additional certification is a plus.

Language Requirements
• Local language German for Germany + English fluent
(mandatory)
