Für unseren Kunden aus dem Versicherungsumfeld in Köln suchen wir ab sofort einen erfahrenen Oracle Datenbankadministrator (m/w) mit Erfahrung im Konzernumfeld sowie Expertise in der Konzeption und Umsetzung von Sicherheitsmaßnahmen.Tasks:
The scope of the mission is:
• In particular we’re looking for an Oracle expert with experience
o in hardening Oracle database
o in security-topics (privileged user access, password policies, 9)
Able to work in different version of the software (Oracle 11g on virtual)
• Some flexibility in working hours is required (occasional over-time or weekend/holiday work) ·
• On-call permanency is possible
Primary tasks and responsibilities :
Manages and administers the company's data management systems, and guarantees their consistency, quality and security. Participates in defining and using databases and application packages chosen by the company. Designs, develops and optimizes the use and performance of the databases.
• Data - participation in choice of databases - modelling, design and creation of databases - data analysis - performance analysis, tuning and monitoring - administration of databases - backup & disaster recovery
• System & Infrastructure - data dictionary maintenance - study, testing & installation of new software / patches - configuration of new hardware and software with the system administrator - connections (client / server) -
business continuity - Architectural support.
• Tools & Utilities - study, testing & installation of new software / patches - configuration of new hardware and software with the system administrator
• Supplier Management - technological follow up and supervision
• Customer Management - assistance to user (training, technical queries, etc. ) - role of technical correspondent between project managers and technical support
• 2nd and 3rd level incident handling - 2nd and 3rd level technical support for all databases
• Compliance management - SOX / Audit – management regarding databases - security management
Profil/ Skills
Technical requirements:
• Basic to good knowledge of Linux and most common database systems (Oracle)
• Experience as a DBA in an international company with many databases (100+) is a plus
• Technical writing skills to write the proper documentation according to internal regulations
Methodology/Certification requirements:
• Bachelor Degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science OR equivalent through experience.
• Advanced course work in technical systems plus continued education in technical disciplines is preferred
·Additional certification is a plus
Non-Technical requirements:
• Some flexibility in working hours is required (occasional over-time or weekend/holiday work) ·
• On-call permanency is possible
• Strong tracking, coordination and project planning skills
· Ability to identify and implement process and/or application improvements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must be able to work on multiple simultaneous tasks with limited supervision.

• Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication and team collaboration skills
• Able to follow change management procedures and internal guidelines.
• Able to work in a global team and in a multiple cultural environment.
• Language Requirements: German + English (mandatory)
