The team is looking for a committed and competent Engineer to support our Zurich-based IT Infrastructure team. As a member of the IT Division, the team engineers and operates infrastructure services across all the Avaloq businesses. The team members work closely with technology vendors, internal delivery teams and the software development division who works on top of the technology we provide.Avaloq operates in an international setting and offers an interesting and challenging environment using state of the art infrastructure technologies.
Your Responsibilities
• Plan, design and maintain our infrastructure environment (Network, Linux and virtualization technologies provided mainly via vSphere and HP Hardware)
• Plan, design and maintain our network
• Help automating provisioning in our virtualized infrastructure environment
• Troubleshoot incidents on infrastructure layers and the layers above
• Coordinate requirements with service delivery teams and internal customers
• Take responsibility in interdisciplinary projects
Education
• Successfully completed education in the IT area or comparable qualification
• Excellent command of spoken and written German or English. Good command of the other.
• Analytical thinking and at least five years of experience in the IT infrastructure business including affinity to network technologies.
Professional Requirements
• Good knowledge of IP networking , Linux and virtualisation concepts
• Scripting skills – Encompassing shell scripting, Perl or Ruby
• Familiar with API and web interfaces
• Expertise with provisioning tools – Puppet
• Experience with monitoring tools and support processes
• Experience in analysing and troubleshooting issues using standard network tools like wireshark, tracepath and strace)
• Proficient in networking protocols, service publishing and state of the art tools/techniques
