Project Description:The Global Competence Centre GM Windows and Middleware Services is responsible for international Windows server operations, Virtual Client provisioning and the middleware platform. As a 3rd level unit the team provides IT support for the Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) division, including the locations London, Munich, Milano and Verona. This includes operating and supporting of more than 2,000 systems and more than 1000 transfers between the various systems. The middleware platform is the central communication point for the various trading platforms from Front- to Back-office as well as to the various risk and other central systems.
As a systems specialist "middleware" you are taking over the responsibility together with the teammates of the central middleware platform. The platform serves as a 'data hub' for all systems and is a key component in data exchange of the various trading systems. In a broad variety of tasks and responsibilities, you are actively involved in the optimization and expansion of this platform and support integration projects from design to production launch. You advise and support projects in regards to connectivity between systems while you are in close contact with project managers of infrastructure and application development. Operating units support you as an expert in the 3rd level support.
Qualifications:
?Computer science degree or equivalent qualification in any IT professional
?Preferably 5+ years professional experience in the middleware environment
?Know-how in the operating systems Solaris and Linux
?Good knowledge of scripting and shell programming or application development
?Very good knowledge of WebSphere MQ
?Good knowledge of IBM WebSphere Message Broker, MQFTE desirable
?English spoken and written are necessary due to the international environment
