Associate Scientist with profound AAV Process Development knowledge wanted for our Basel based client in the Pharma sector.Your experience/skills:
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biotechnology or equivalent
- In-depth experience with technical or laboratory tools with concentration molecular and cell biology, especially mammalian cell culture processing. Preferably with knowledge in viral vectors or viruses.
- Solid knowledge of cultivation of mammalian cells in bench scale bioreactors coupled with Practice in laboratory work, ideally in a BL-2 setting
- Preferably good communication skills, presentation skills and professionalism in scientific as well as technical writing
- Domain knowledge in experimental planning, data evaluation, presentation and report writing
- Languages: fluent English both written and spoken, German is an advantage
Your tasks:
- Contributing to the cell line engineering work as well as providing support in the gene therapy area
- Coordinating cell line and USP development actions for therapeutic proteins and viral vectors
- Supporting new technology projects and collaborating in upstream process development for viral vector based gene therapy products
- Implementing seed train generation, cell expansion and production cultures via transient transfection
- Utilizing diverse state-of-the-art upstream process technologies such as shake flasks, wave and stirred tank bioreactors
- Performing molecular biologic analytics as real-time/digital PCR in addition to capillary electrophoresis and engaging in the assessment of modern scientific technologies and equipment
