• Configuration according to Splunk best practices.
• Checking the image or specifications for deviations from Splunk Best Practices and deriving adaptations for the Splunk design and/or the necessary Splunk configuration, if possible, and otherwise notifying the client of the necessary changes to the image for implementation by the client.
• Network configuration according to the customer specifications (IP, FQDN, DNS, NTP)
• Splunk basic configuration
• Configuration of the functional components of the instances
• Certificate based transport encryption configuration:
• Forwarder to Indexer/Forwarder (9997)
• Inter-Splunk (8089)
• Splunk Web (8443)
• Basic configuration and preparation for package creation of the Splunk Agent (Universal Forwarder) for deployment via the client's Windows and Linux software distribution
