Dear Freelancers,we are looking for a english or german speaking Software engineer - observability component for our client - an Industry 4.0 company, that is part of the European Cloud Initiative - to implement new observability (metrics, logging, events) features for the product Operations Center.
For this role you should provide relevant project experience with Golang (must have) and Java/Kotlin (Nice to have).
- provide extensive knowledge of state-of-the-art observability technologies and tool stacks like Prometheus, fluentD, OpenTelemetry, etc.
- knowledge of common observability patterns like push/pull, data retention, aggregation, metadata etc.
- idea of multi cloud challenges and cloud-native thinking (& ability to be productive on any cloud and on-premises)
- knowledge of building and testing secure and comprehensible APIs
Daily Tasks:
- conduct thorough tests for robustness, performance and compatibility
- work on customer-specific observability configurations
- expose observability functionality as a product through RESTful APIs
- ensure customer continuity despite a changing product
- conduct code reviews of "inner source" code contributions and provide constructive support for contributors
- guides other teams and professional services to use and enhance existing APIs and the product
- integration of legacy observability technology
